WC Electric prevails 19-11 over I4C Victory

It was a wild one in Fitzroy Harbour on Tuesday night as the West Carleton Electric defeated I4C Victory 19-11 in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play.

Steve Cavanagh went the distance and earned the win for WC, while Ty Alexander took the loss in relief of Neil Cooke for Victory.

I4C got out to a 6-0 lead in the top of the third, but the home team answered back with five in the bottom of the frame.

Victroy took a 7-5 lead in the fourth but Fitzroy was able to plate seven in their half to go up 12-7.

The visitors narrowed the score to 12-9 in fifth and the Electric responded with a single. In the sixth, I4C narrowed the gap to 13-11, but a seven run sixth inning for West Carleton ended the game on the run rule.

Chris Costello hit two home runs for WC, and Trevor Barton also hit one out (though he was called out for passing the runner on the first base).

Chris MacFarlane hit two homers for I4C, while Alexander had two triples.
