Tough start at the ToC for area teams

Local teams didn't fare so well at the opening day of the ToC. Only Blackburn pulled out a win in day 1.:

Ashland, OH 4 Team Easton 0
Hamilton, ON 5 Carp I4C 3
Wilkes-Barre, PA 11 Quyon Flyers 2
South Lebanon, PA 14 Valley Raiders 0
Blackburn 1 Jarvis, ON 0
Shakespeare, ON 3 Quyon 2

Cory Costello and the Niagara Snappers won their first game 2-1 in 8 innnings over Harriston Mercury's who had Scott Smith pitching. Chad Costello was catching for Cory - but not hitting in the game.

Games lined up for Wednesday. The Carp game will be broadcast over the Internet:

10:30AM Carp I4C Victory vs. Bridgeport Braves
1:30PM Blackburn Bombers vs. Wyevale Tribe
2:30PM Carp I4C Victory vs. PA Power LISTEN LIVE

4:30PM Team Easton vs. Hickson Reds
6:30PM Quyon Flyers vs. Alvinston Indians

4-3 loss for I4C playing Bridgeport.
1 Grand Slam for Bridgeport did the damage. Brad Porter threw a solid game bringing a no hitter into the 5th.
