GOFL regular season finishes

In the doubleheader tonight in Carp, only one actual game ended up getting played.

Barrhaven Broadway Blues had to forfeit their game due to player shortage / injuries so Kars Aces picked up the two points and sealed first place in the GOFL.

In the second game, which was actually played, Carp I4C Victory defeated Kars Aces by a score of 7-0. Neil Cooke had the win while Joel Patterson took the loss with relief from Chris Hall. Aaron Amo and Brooks Paziuk had homers for Carp. This win gives Carp third place in the standings.

Word is that the final two regular season games between Kars and North Gower will not be played and the league will move on to the first round of playoffs with best-of-three quarter final series.

Kars (1st) vs North Gower (8th)
Quyon (2nd) vs Fitzroy Harbour (7th)
Carp (3rd) vs Ottawa (6th)
Stittsville (4th) vs Barrhaven (5th)

Playoff scheduling information will posted as soon as confirmed.
