GOFL 2011 Season Preview - Ottawa Blitz

The Ottawa Blitz have sent in a preview for the 2011 GOFL season.

The Ottawa Blitz will look to build on their performance from last year and hope that a few new additions will help push them over the .500 mark in the GOFL. Gone from last year’s squad are veteran leftfielder Brett Dugan, Kevin O’Neill and Derek Martin. Stepping in to fill out the roster are familiar faces Anil Hayne and Shannon Borho, formerly of North Gower, and newcomers Guy Levesque and Adam Grier.

The addition of a top-notch GOFL pitcher, former All-Star, Anil Hayne and the defensive abilities of Levesque and Grier are big additions to the club. Team manager Marcel Mondoux is hopeful that the new additions will help the Blitz make it past the 1st round of GOFL playoffs for the first time in the club’s history.
