Blitz and Quyon tie at 5-5 to kick off GOFL season
info from Joe McCleary, Marcel Mondoux and Nick Armitage
Ottawa Taylor's Blitz and Quyon Combat Flyers kicked things off in the GOFL on Wednesday night in Manotick with a 5-5 tie. The Blitz rallied in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game.
Matt Greer went the distance for the Flyers, while Taylor's had pitching by committee with Derick Bulley and Shannon Borho each throwing three innings and Jamie Blakely seeing one inning of action.
Twitter reports a career game for the Flyers' Kenny Fleck, who went two for three with a HBP. Congratulations Big Papi you are the inaugral "Caveman's Choice" for player of the game. (A new 2012 blog feature that I just made up on the spot.)
