Stittsville defeats Valley As 12-0

The Stittsville 56ers defeated the Ottawa Valley As in a run-rule shortened game on Wednesday night at the Grove in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play.


In the bottom of the first, the 56ers were productive as they drew two walks, hit two singles, a double for Trevor Scott, plus Dan Bradley drilled a 2 run shot to left center putting Stittsville up 6-0 after 1.

Darren Featherstone picked up 5 K’s in the first two innings bringing the 56ers back to the plate.  John Craig singled and moved around the bases to score on a couple of more hits as Stittsville picks up another run.

Bradley lead off the bottom of the third by launching his second home run of the game to left field.  Two walks and four singles produced 4 more runs for Stittsville.

Darren Featherstone threw well for Stittsville allowing just 1 hit and 1 walk, and picked up 9 K’s through the 5 inning game as the 56ers closed out the Valley A’s 12-0.
