GOFL playoff scenarios - updated from Thursday

It's that time of year when the Greater Ottawa Fastball League regular season starts to wind down and playoffs are coming up soon, likely the week of August 9th. As such, here is a breakdown of where teams may end up in the standings.

Kars Aces (12-5-1)
The Aces are currently in top spot, and could stay there. However, if the Flyers win their final game, Kars loses the tiebreaker as Quyon has the season series. If Micksburg wins their remaining games, the Aces could finish as low as third.

Quyon Flyers (11-5-1, one game remaining vs I4C)
The Flyers are in second, but with a win in the final game could finish on top as they hold the season series advantage over Kars. If they lose their final game, and Micksburg wins out, they could finish as low as third.

Micksburg Twins (9-5, three games* remaining against I4C, one game remaining vs WC Electric)
The * above is because the Twins are actually going to play a doubleheader against I4C with six points on the line - three per game. If the Twins win out, they could go as high as first. If they lose their remaining games, they could go as low as fourth.

Stittsville 56ers (7-9-2)
The 56ers are in fourth. They could fall to as low as sixth depending on how I4C and West Carleton do in their remaining games.

West Carleton Electric (7-9-1, one game remaining vs Micksburg)
WC is in fifth, but a win in their last game could see the Electric bump up to fourth. However, a loss and some wins by I4C in their remaining games could the Trics bump down to sixth.

I4C Victory (6-8, three games* remaining against Micksburg, one game remaining vs Quyon)
As mentioned above, the "six point" doubleheader next week will be a big determining factor on where I4C ends up. The could go as high as third, but if they lose all their remaining games, they could be sixth.

Ottawa Valley As (3-14-1)
The As will finish seventh.
