Stittsville wins two in Manotick

The Stittsville 56ers won both games on Wednesday night in Greater Ottawa Fastball League action in Manotick.

Stittsville 5 Kars 4

In the opener, the 56ers defeated the Kars Aces 5-4. Kyle Olson had the win on the slab, while Nick Ellis was pressed into service to pitch for the Aces. Brad Porter threw in relief. Brad Pender had a two-run inside the park homer for Kars.

Stittsville 9 I4C Victory 8

The late game saw Stittsville beat I4C Victory 9-8. Luc D'Entremont had the pitching win while Matt McNish took the loss in relief of Neil Cooke. Derek Martin had a solo homer for I4C while McNish 3 for 4, with 3 RBIs and a triple. D'Entremont was 2 for 5 for Stittsville with 2 RBIs and triple.
