Orleans Rebels Win Season Opening Day Games

The Orleans Rebels played a double header Wednesday night, taking on Manotick in game 1, winning by a score of 4-0 and then winning the night cap 9-0 against Osgoode U23.

Game 1 turned out to be a pitchers duel, with Luc D'Entrement taking on Andy Barber.
Orleans threatened early in the game but there wasn't much action until the 6th inning when Orleans broke open the scoring by walking in their first run. Derek Barber lead off the inning with a walk, followed by Kevin Shonfield walking, Andre Mainville then reached on a misplayed ball and finally Matt Healey earned the Rebels first RBI of the season by drawing a walk. The inning was then ended when Ryan Clare made a quick throw to tag out the runner stealing home on a wild pitch.
Orleans widened the gap in the 7th when Spencer Rodd singled, followed by a Jeff Barber walk and a 2RBI double by Andy Barber, Orleans was able to work a couple more walks to score the final run.
