Athletics win Shawville title

The Bristolview Enterprises Athletics won the Shawville Men's Fastpitch League playoff title on Tuesday night with a 2-0 victory over the Trudeau Collision Brewers in the championship game. 

Matt Greer was the winning pitcher, throwing a two hitter. Adam Rueckwald took the loss, only allowing five hits.

Luke Young and Greer hit back to back solo homers in the third inning for the game's only runs. Greer had another single later in the game. Cade Kuehl and Kayser Lavigne also had hits for the Athletics.

The Brewers' only hits came from Jeff Tanguay in the first and Gabe Brown in the fifth.

The Athletics completed an undefeated season in both regular season and sweeping the double knockout playoff bracket.
