Quyon and Micksburg win on Thursday

There were two games in the Greater Ottawa Fastball League on Thursday night and both ended 8-1.

Quyon Flyers 8 Manotick Brewers 1

Quyon defeated Manotick 8-1 in Shawville. The game was 2-1 until the sixth inning when the Flyers put up a six spot to end the game on the run rule. Matt Greer earned the win in the circle for the home team. Adam Roth took the loss and had relief from Carter Marshall. Greer and Hunter Beauregard hit solo homers for Quyon.

Micksburg Twins 8 West Carleton Electric 1

Micksburg got by West Carleton 8-1 in five innings in the 'Burg. Joran Graham was the winning pitcher and had an inning of relief from John Enright. Adam Rueckwald took the loss. Scott Conroy hit a three-run homer in the first inning for the Twins. Andrew McIntyre and Graham had solo homers for the home club. Rueckwald drove in the Electric's only run, cashing Dylan Rorwick who had singled.
