Eastmain withdraws
Looks like Eastmain Fireballs are withdrawing from the ISC II qualifier this weekend in Fitzroy Harbour. Just got a call today advising that the team has folded and they will not be attending. We're working on alternative plans to get a fourteenth team to round out the draw.

That is too bad to hear. I think Joe was right when he said that there should be a blacklist for teams like this on attending tournament. Good Luck Adam in getting another team.

I agree, it really messed things up at our tournament. We almost had to struggle to get an eighth team for our tourney and they requested to just play saturday. When they showed up for the 9:00 and found out that Eastmain wasn't coming they weren't too pleased. I guess you could say atleast they called ahead of time, but really whats the difference when it's two days before the tourney begins. Good luck.

These guys should never be allowed to enter a tournament in this area or any area for that matter again. This should be posted to Al's Fastball List so that teams throughout North America, particularly in Eastern Canada no to never invite these idiots to a tournament or to accept their entry to a tournament.
Good to see our tax dollars at work. Maybe if these guys had to actually touch their own pockets for an entry fee, they might actually make an effort to show up. I don`t know any self-supporting team that can afford to give away hundreds of dollars to not play.
