Fitzroy "Juniors" to play as 14th team in Qualifier
The Fitzroy "Junior" team has stepped up and will fill in as the 14th team at the ISC II Qualifier this weekend. The Juniors, sponsored by Badham's Carpentry, have been approved to play by the ISC and will fill in the slot occupied by the Eastmain Fireballs who withdrew on Wednesday.

How come two other Junior teams were refused entry the tournament as the 15th and 16th teams....yet now they are allowing a Junior team in...
I think if you read the post you will understand....They are replacing another team who backed out yesterday.
Scarborough has Blake Orr with them at tourneys and he's just out of Junior and is considered ISC pitcher. I believe that is why they were refused but also Junior Teams at one time weren't allowed in ISC II and had to play ISC.
Again, this team is only filling in for one that backed out. It has nothing to do with JR teams at this point. It is just to fill a spot on one days notice.
These guys are not a competitive Junior A team. They are a local bunch of guys who play in an area league that were good enough to fill in when a team backed out at the last minute.
At least there was a team to fill the spot... and at least there was a team to play after the opening ceremonies in Fitzroy... that would have been a shame to have opening ceremonies and no host team playing after etc...
Darren,
What the hell are you doing up at 4:23 in the morning? I can't wait to kick your ass, AGAIN.

Tyler, those were my exact thoughts! D, what were you doing up at that hour?! Nervous about the Saturday AM games? :-) TC, you guys played well against us in the 12 PM game on S2 diamond and deserved the win with Chad's two shots but we still got....fu....ahem....I mean screwed on that check swing call in the top of the 7th. Why was Harry even checking and how could Matt make a brutal call like that at a key time in the game? Unbelieveable. Good luck to the Raiders and the 56ers in the Qualifier.
