WC Electric blank Blitz 8-0 in Game 1
WC Electric blanked the Ottawa Blitz 8-0 in game one of their quarter final series in GOFL playoffs.
Bud Hanlon and Brad Porter combined for a no-hitter, with Hanlon getting the win. The Blitz had two base runners, both on WC Electric errors. Hanlon had four strikeouts in four innings, and Porter had seven Ks in three innings of work.
Jamie Blakely threw for the Blitz, allowing eleven hits in five innings, walking two and striking out five. Derrick Bulley threw one inning, allowing one hit and striking out two. The Blitz made four errors.
Michael Cavanagh had a bit night at the plate for Fitzroy, going 2 for 4 with two doubles aand driving in two. Troy Wilson was 2 for 3 with a walk and Steve Cavanagh was 2 for 3.

The teams meet up tomorrow (Weds Aug 23) at 7PM in Manotick for game two, followed by game one of the Carp/Manotick series at 9PM
