Ottawa Blitz Strengthen Roster

The Ottawa Blitz are pleased to announce the addition of three players for the 2008 season. Joining the Blitz for league and tournament play are catcher Anthony Searle, formerly of the RA’s Team 6, and infielder Russ Mitchell, formerly of Carp I4C Victory. Tony and Russ will help fill the void left by the departure of Tyler Cox. Their solid fielding, contact hitting, and excellent speed will be great additions to the young Blitz club. Matt Bowman will also be joining the Blitz for tournament play. His catching skills and big bat will definitely make the Blitz a more competitive weekend team.
Discussions with a few other players are ongoing and the team hopes to add one or two more players and announce the final roster in the near future.
