Blitz drop two in GOFL Thursday night play in Carp

The Blitz lost game #1 to Stittsville last night 5-0. Duane Bromley took the loss for the Blitz with Will Mood in relief. Dan Bradley got the win for Stittsville.
In game #2, Carp defeated the Blitz 2-1 with a run in the bottom of the 7th to break a 1-1 tie. Trevor Wood got the win for Carp in relief of Neil Cooke. Jamie Blakely went the distance for the Blitz.
Note: Special thanks to umpire Chris Carroll for coming up from Sydenham to work this game and help us get it in. Also thanks to Tony Riches for taking on his first umpiring assignment and working the bases.
