Remaining GOFL games and playoff possibilities

There have been 86 games played in the GOFL season as of Weds night and four games remain. Playoff matchups will not be determined until the last game as third, fourth, sixth and seventh are still to be determined.

The Thursday night doubleheader in Carp sees I4C Victory face Orleans at 7pm (#64), with WC Electric to face the Gators in the late game (#53).

Carp will finish fifth and Fitzroy will finish eighth, but Orleans could conceivably move up on placing into the sixth spot depending on how they perform in their three remaining games.

Easton and Greely will play on Tuesday August 4th in North Gower at 8pm (#85) in a game that will not affect placement in the standings but will give the Eagles a chance to break the goose egg and get in the win column for 2009.

The final game to be made up at a date and time to be determined is the Manotick / Orleans game (#25). If the Printers win or tie, they can move up to third spot.

Play off matchups

Greely (#9) vs. Fitzroy Harbour (#8) - single "play in" game.
Winner to face Stittsville (#1) - best of three

Orleans or Blitz vs. Team Easton - #7 vs. #2 - best of three

Orleans or Blitz vs. Quyon or Manotick - #6 vs. #3 - best of three

Carp vs. Quyon or Manotick - #5 vs. #4 - best of three
