Quyon defeats Team Easton 1-0

txt msg update from Kenny Fleck

Quyon defeated Easton 1-0 in their quarterfinal matchup. Joran Graham threw a no-hitter, Matt Greer had the solo HR that was the game winner. Steve McCord made a great catch to help seal the win. Joel Langford, Moe Laframboise and Joe Allan all had hits as well for Quyon.

Brad Porter took the loss for Easton with a four hitter.

The Flyers will face Ashland, OH Stockpack (assuming they finish off their game which they should with a 9-3 lead over PA Power). This game will be broadcast live on http://www.ballparkradio.com/ Channel 2. I plan on live blogging that one with a pint and a bowl of popcorn.

more info to follow as it becomes available

PREVIOUS UPDATES:

Blair Setford reports on http://www.ballparkradio.com/ that Quyon and Team Easton remain scoreless in the bottom of the second in their game to determine who advances to the quarter-final at the ToC.

********************

He didn't say what inning, but it must be in the fourth or fifth - and Quyon / Team Easton is scoreless. (Man, I wish that game would have been on http://www.ballparkradio.com/ )

********************

Now an update that Quyon has taken a 1-0 lead over Team Easton - no indication of the inning.

********************

Sounds like Quyon is still up 1-0. The guys also reported that the winner of the Quyon / Easton game will play the winner of the Ashland / PA Power game - and it will be broadcast on http://www.ballparkradio.com/ Channel 2. Looks like the grass won't get cut this afternoon at my place :)

Box score says Hargrove and not Graham threw no-hitter?

It was definitely Joran that threw that one, I heard first hand from Flyers players. I think what probably happened in they had Hargrove on the line up as the 'starter', suspended the DP immediately at the plate conference and had Graham into pitch. That way if Hargrove goes in later in the game to pitch, they don't lose Graham's bat and they go back up to 10. The scorekeeper must have missed that fact.
