Orleans defeats Manotick in final GOFL regular season game

Orleans Gators defeated Manotick Lomor Printers 3-0 in the final GOFL regular season game Monday night at Whalen Park in Kanata (one of the few fields available tonight to get the game in).

Jeff Barber had the win for Orleans while Trevor Lahey took the loss for the Printers.

Orleans remains in seventh place with a 7-12-1 record, a significant improvement from their 3-14-2 finish last season.

The Manotick loss means that the Printers finish fourth in the GOFL standings and will face Carp I4C Victory in a best of three series. Manotick finishes the season at a much improved 10-7-3 record as compared to a 6-12-2 mark in 2008.

Quyon Flyers finish third and face the Ottawa Blitz in another best of three series.
