Blitz squeak by Barrhaven - WITH DETAILS

In second game of the doubleheader in Manotick on Wednesday night, the Ottawa Blitz ended up on top with a 5-4 victory over the Barrhaven Broadway Blues.
Paul Ceppi, in his second complete game of the night took the loss, while Derick Bulley had a complete game win for the Blitz.
Scoreless until the top of 2, Donnie Cox was scored on a hit by Cal Medynski.
The Blitz quickly evened the score in the bottom half started by a Bulley gap shot for a triple. Ron Hrycak took a first pitch offering up the middle to cash the run in.
The Blitz then took advantage of a strike 3 PB in the bottom of 3, which would have been the final out of the inning. Big Will Mood stepped up to the plate to deliver the RBI before being tagged out at 2 to finish off the inning.
The Blitz entered the bottom of 5 looking to extend their lead. One run came in to score when Marcel Mondoux hit a bases loaded infield single to score 2 more.
The Blues potted one in the top of 6, and two more in the top of 7 in another "interesting final 3 outs" for the Blitz. A mishap in the outfield and a knee drop in the infield put the Blues to within 1. A popout to the infield finished the game.
