Carp takes game one 1-0 as Cox throws a no-hitter

Carp I4C Victory took game one of the GOFL semi-final series by a score of 1-0 against Quyon COMBAT Flyers on the Quebec side Tuesday night.

Frank Cox was the winner, throwing a no-hitter with 17 strikeouts. Drew Hathway was the hard luck loser for the Flyers with a three-hitter.

The game's only run came in the top of the sixth after Victory's Aaron Amo walked. When Amo stole second, he was hit by the throw and the ball bounced into the outfield allowing Amo to scored the game's only run.

Game two in the best-of-three series will be Thursday night in Carp at 8pm.
