Quyon finishes tied for third in ISC II tournament

The Quyon Combat Flyers finished tied for third in the ISC II side of the International Softball Congress Tournament at Midland, Michigan. Quyon finished the week at 4 wins and 4 losses.

In their final three games of the tournament, the Flyers defeated the Kitchener Outlaws 6-1 and Maccabi USA 7-0, before being elminated by the Wellington (ON) Sox 6-1, who went on to defeat the Wyevale Tribe 5-3 to win the ISC II tournament.

Quyon 6 Kitchener Outlaws 1. Drew Hathaway threw a four hitter and offensively Joel Langford went 2-4 and Joran Graham went 2-3.

Quyon 7 Maccabi USA 0. Joran Graham held Maccabi to two hits as the Flyers responded with seven runs in eight hits. Joel Langford went 3-4 at the plate, while Joran Graham and Steve Savard lead the team with two RBIs each.

Wellington Sox 6 Quyon 1. Todd Uhrig (ISC II Tournament MVP and Outstanding Pitcher) held the Flyers to four hits. Mike Noftall pitched five innings and was tagged with the loss. Drew Hathaway completed the game for Quyon.

All-Tournament Team All-stars. Joran Graham was one of three pitcher selected as a ISC II tournament all-star, while Joel Langford was one of five infielders selected. Joel was the top batter in the tournament with a .529 percentage at the plate.
