Barrhaven wins 4-1 over WC Electric

The Barrhaven Broadway Blues won 4-1 over West Carleton Electric in Monday night GOFL action in Fitzroy Harbour.

Trevor Lahey got the win, going the distance and allowing five hits. Steve Cavanagh also threw seven innings for the 'Trics, taking the loss.

Kevin Schonfeld, son of Disco Stew, got things started right away with a lead off homerun to start the game.

The Blues made it a 3-0 game in the second. Trevor Power led off with a single. After a strikeout, men were on first and second on a misplayed grounder. Jordan Adams bloop single over first base cashed two runs to pad the lead for Barrhaven.

WC Electric finally got on the board with a solo HR off the bat of Andy Barber in the bottom of the sixth.

Barrhaven responded in the top of seven when Don Cox singled and scored on a Calvin Medynski RBI single. Lahey shut things down with three Ks in the bottom of the frame to seal the win.
