Stittsville wins 7-0 over Fitzroy at the Grove

Stittsville 56ers shut out West Carleton Electric 7-0 in a mercy-rule shortened game Wednesday night at the Grove.

Darren Featherstone earned the win while Andy Barber took the loss.

Stittsville scored two in the first on Dan Jessiman's two-RBI triple which drove in Featherstone (who had singled) and Tyler Nystedt (who had walked).

The 56ers put three runs across in the second. Trevor Scott led off with a single, moved to second on Darren Ladouceur's walk and both scored on Dan Bradley's 2 RBI double. Bradley subsequently moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on Nystedt's sac fly.

The home team scored two more in the bottom of the fourth. Bradley hit a solo shot with two out. Featherstone then doubled and scored on Nystedt's single.

Bradley's big night at the plate has him named as Caveman's Choice for the game.
