GOFL Playoff Preview

Greater Ottawa Fastball League playoffs start tonight. There are three best-of-five series that will be played, with the three teams advancing along with the 1st place Quyon Flyers to the Final Weekend Showdown on September 12-13 at the Grove in Stittsville.

2nd place Stittsville 56ers (8-6-4) vs 7th place I4C Victory (7-11)
This match up demonstrates how close the GOFL was this year - the second place team had eight wins and the last place team had seven. Stittsville won the season series 2-1, and none of the games were particularly close.

3rd place West Carleton Electric (9-8-1) vs 6th place Kars Aces (8-10)

Kars won the season series with two wins to a single win for West Carleton. None of these games were particularly close either.

These teams finished with identical records, but Kanata gets the nod as fourth seed since they won the season series two games to one. All of their games were within three runs.
