Kanata wins game three 1-0 over Micksburg

Kanata Pirates pulled out a 1-0 win over the Micksburg Twins in game three of their best of five Greater Ottawa Fastball League playoff series last night in Carp.
In a game that took only an hour and fifteen minutes to play, Jason Smith earned the win allowing only three hits and striking out 13. Corey Costello took the loss despite tossing a two hitter, striking out six and walking one.
The sole run of the game came in the second inning for the Pirates. Jon Ferguson hit a double to lead off and with one out Ryan Mitts' RBI single scored Ferg.
The Pirates now lead the series two games to one, with game four to be played Wednesday at 8 pm in Micksburg.
