Micksburg wins 4-0 in Stittsville

The Micksburg Twins traveled to the Grove on Wednesday night to take on the 56ers.

Corey Costello took the slab for Micksburg as Stittsville countered with Darren Featherstone. 

The game remained scoreless until the third when the visitors got things going with a lead of single by Connor Moss which was followed up with a walk from Joran Graham. After a fielder's choice with one out, Jamey Mick hit a single up the middle scoring Graham from second. Next up Chad Costello followed suit with a single up the middle scoring Corey Costello from second making it 2-0 for the Twins. 

In the bottom half of the third the home team got two runners on with one out however the Twins managed to get out of troubles when Chad Coz made a good pick off throw to first getting the runner and then Corey Coz fanned the batter ending the inning. 

The Ttwins added to their lead with some insurance runs in the seventh. Graham hit a one out double to the right centre gap, then Mick followed up hitting one to the left centre gap for a double scoring Graham. Chad Costello kept the line moving hitting the Twins 3rd straight double scoring Mick making it 4-0 going into the bottom half of the 7th.

The home side were not able to get get anything going as Costello struck out two final batters of the game collecting the complete game shutout.
