Quyon wins on the road in Pakenham over Ottawa Valley - WITH DETAILS (from last week)
The Quyon Flyers were winners over the Ottawa Valley As by a score of 4-0 in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play in Pakenham on Wednesday night.
Trevor Lahey had the complete game shut out, allowing only two hits. Todd Wilson took the loss.
This game was tight, with a 1-0 score through five, until the Flyers scored three in the sixth.

The Quyon Flyers travelled to Pakenham on Wednesday for a matchup with the Ottawa Valley A’s. Trevor Lahey got the start for Quyon while the OVA’s countered with Todd Wilson. Both pitchers went the distance for their respective clubs.
In the top of the 1st, Dave Hobbs led off with a bloop single to right field and advanced to 2nd when the fielder was slow to the ball. Hobbs then advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt from Shawn Laframboise. After a walk to Matt Greer, Wilson got out of the inning with a pop up and a strike out. The A’s went down in order in the bottom of the 1st with two strikeouts and a ground out.
Quyon took the lead in the 2nd. Curtis Daley was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning and stole 2nd base. After a strike out, Daley advanced to third on Jordan Kearns’ pop up that was misplayed by the 1st baseman. Mike Baker then hit a ground ball to 2nd base, scoring Daley from third while beating out the attempted double play.
The game remained 1-0 for the visitors until the top of the 6th inning. Greer walked for the second time in the game. With two out and the steal on, Steve McCord hit a hard line drive single to left field, scoring Greer from first when the throw to the cut-off was offline. The Flyers added two more in the inning when Daley and Lahey each hit RBI doubles to make it 4-0.
The A’s threatened in the bottom half of the 6th when two hitters reached on errors. Lahey managed to keep them off the scoresheet and secured the shutout victory.
