I4C Victory takes game one over Kars - WITH DETAILS
I4C Victory won the first game of their Greater Ottawa Fastball League playoff best-of-five series over the Kars Aces with a 3-0 win on Wednesday night in Manotick.
Andrew Putnam got the win, throwing a one hitter. Brad Porter took the loss.

Kars
Aces and I4C started their best of 5 playoff series last night in
Manotick. Brad
Porter had the ball for Kars and Andrew Putnam for I4C.
After
a scoreless first, I4C got on the board in the second. Andrew Putnam lead off
the inning with a home run to centerfield. Chris MacFarlane then tripled to
left field and was scored on a single by Adam Fleming.
Kars
threatened in the 4th with two outs. Cory Morrison singled and Nick Ellis
walked. Putnam got the next batters to pop up and strikeout to end the
inning.
I4C
added a run in the 6th. Putnam started it with a single that was misplayed in
the outfield allowing him to hustle around to third base. Trevor Watts scored
him with a line drive to right that just got under the fielder's glove allowing
Putnam to score and Watts to end up on third. Porter got out of the inning with
a strikeout.
Kars
rallied in the 6th. Morrison lead off with a sharply hit grounder to shortstop
that got past the I4C defense. Ellis then reached on an error and the runners
moved up on a passed ball. Kyle Gourgon walked to load the bases with none out.
Putnam was able to strikeout the next 3 batters to end the inning.
No
runs were scored in the 7th and I4C was able to start the series with a 3-0
win. Andrew Putnam had the win with 16 Ks and Brad Porter took the loss
striking out 8.
Game
2 will be next Wednesday in Manotick at 830.
