Kingston Axemen win ISC Qualifier in Mitchell, ON
The Kingston Axemen won the 24-team International Softball Congress tournament this past weekend in Mitchell, ON with a perfect five wins and no losses record.
GOFLers Matt Greer (Quyon), Joran Graham (Micksburg), Nick Ellis and Brad Pender (both Kars) play on the team which will be appearing at the ISC World Tournament in Kitchener in August.
The Axemen won the final game 2-0 over the Elmira Expos. Graham had the complete game win and had a hit. He was named the Top Pitcher at the event. Greer played a solid second base, Pender had a hit as well as played outfield and Ellis pinch ran and scored a run in the sixth inning.
