GOFL 2019 schedule announced
The schedule for the 2019 Greater Ottawa Fastball League season has been posted on the GOFL.ca website. The schedule (as always subject to a few tweaks) has the nine member teams each playing 16 games.
The schedule set up is as follows:
- Stittsville 56ers simply play each team home and home.
- The teams in the "West" (West Carleton Electric, Quyon Flyers, Micksburg Twins and Ottawa Valley As) will play one team in their division four times, the other two teams in their division three times, one game against each of the "East" teams, plus two against Stittsville.
- The teams in the "East" (Orleans Rebels, I4C Victory, Kars Aces and Kemptville Black Sox) will play a similar schedule to the teams in the West.
The Flyers will be playing the majority of their home games this season in Shawville. (Side note: the flooding in Quyon has been bad, and the diamond there is underwater.)
Games kick off on Wednesday May 15 with three games planned.
