Stittsville sweeps doubleheader in Manotick
The Stittsville 56ers swept their doubleheader in Manotick on Wednesday night.
In the first game, 56ers defeated I4C Victory 12-6. Kyle Olson had the win for the 56ers. Neil Cooke took the loss, throwing five innings, with Chris Parish seeing action in relief for I4C.
The second game saw Stittsville edge Kars Aces 5-4. Luc D'Entremont had the complete game win for the visitors, while Brad Porter took the loss. Cory Morrison had a homer for Kars. The Aces got out to a 2-0 lead, but the 56ers tied things up. After Kars went up 3-2, Stittsville had a three run inning to take the lead. After giving up a single in the sixth, the 56ers held on for a 5-4 win.
