North Leeds league season ends, playoffs begin

North Leeds Men's Fastball League regular season wrapped up last Thursday. 

North Augusta Trappers finished first in the Dale “Kinger” Kingston Division going nearly perfect at 6-0-1. They play Spencerville who finished 3-4-0. Maitland was eliminated finishing 2-5-0.

Lyn Lightning won the Max Putnam Division defeating the Easton Corners Athletics in the last regular season to finish 5-2-0. The A’s finished 4-3-0. The 0-6-1 Eastons Corners Haymakers missed the postseason.

Brad Marion was the Homerun Leader for the regular season with 3 dingers. He will receive his 28 pack trophy this week.

Playoffs began Tuesday Sept. 7. North Augusta and Spencerville were tied at 3 when the Trappers opened things up late for an 11-3 North Augusta win. Ian King, Cory Alkerton and Jordan Shipclark homered for North Augusta. Scott Marion and Shawn Workman had home runs for Spencerville.

Game 1 in Lyn saw Eastons Corners As let a 3-0 lead slip away in the 5th, and Lyn took the first game  6-4. Carley Shane had the win for Lyn.

Game 2 sees Spencerville in North Augusta at 7pm Thursday on Sept 9. Eastons Corners hosts Lyn at Wolford Centennial Park at 8 pm on Thursday
