Brewers, Aces win in Manotick

The Manotick Brewers and Kars Aces each won a game in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play on Wednesday night in Manotick. 

The early game saw the Brewers defeat the Osgoode Chiefs 8-5. Carley Shane earned the win on the slab while Matt McKay took the loss. Chris MacFarlane and Curt Scurr hit homers for the Brewers. Osgoode also had a homer from Austin Kimble.

The late game was a 15-6 win for the Aces over the Chiefs. Nick Ellis was the winning pitcher while McKay was tagged with the loss. Jack Dewan threw in relief for the Chiefs. Dylan Toms hit one out for Kars as did Kristian Knapp who swatted a grand slam.
