NAPA Shockers win fifth straight Ashton League Title
from Eric Rosenquist
The NAPA Shockers successfully defended their Ashton Men's Fastball League title last night, beating the Ashton Farmers 12-7 to take the "A" final two games to none. The Shockers won the league championship in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023 (the league wasn't active during 2020 and 2021 due to COVID), topping the Rockets' string of four straight championships from 2006 through 2009.
In the "B" final, the A's defeated the Brewers in two games to claim their first trophy since joining the league in 2017.
Editor's note: Congratulations to Eric Rosenquist winning the Ashton title in his last year in the league. Eric and his wife will be relocating to New Hamburg to be closer to family. Eric has been a valuable member of the fastball community in eastern Ontario for many years and he will be missed!
