Aces win both in Manotick DH
The Kars Aces won both games of the Greater Ottawa Fastball League doubleheader in Manotick over the Brewers on Wednesday night.
Aces 9 Brewers 4
The opener saw Kars win 9-4 over Manotick. Brad Porter had the win on the slab while Carley Shane took the loss. Brad Pender hit two home runs for Kars, one of them inside the park.
Aces 4 Brewers 3
The late game was a closer match up, as the Aces won 4-3. Andy Barber was the winning pitcher while Luc D'Entremont threw for Manotick. Kars was up 3-1 after six, then Manotick tied it 3-3 in the top of the seventh. Pender's third homer of the night walked it off in the bottom of the seventh for the Aces. Danny Powers also had a homer for Kars.
