WC, Aces win on Wednesday

West Carleton Electric and Kars Aces were winners in the Wednesday night doubleheader in Manotick. 

The early game was a 4-2 win for West Carleton over the Manotick Brewers. Adam Rueckwald had the complete game win, allowing three hits, and striking out nine. Luc D'Entremont took the loss (5IP, 4R, 5H, 10K) with relief from Carley Shane (2IP, 0R, 1H, 2K).

Ben Broek had am RBI single, Gabe Brown had a two RBI triple and Sean Lecuyer had a solo homer for WC. Ryan Clare hit a solo bomb and both RBIs for the Brewers.

The later game was a 6-4 for the Kars Aces over WC. Brad Porter had the win (6IP, 4ER, 9H, 5K) and Andy Barber came in for the save in the seventh (1IP, 1H, 3K). Ben Broek threw for WC (6IP, 6R, 9H, 8K).

The Aces scored their first five batters of the first inning. Brad Pender hit a home run to lead off the bottom of the first. Pender, Nick Ellis, and Andy Barber all had two hits for the Aces.  

Dylan Rorwick had two hits and Finn Barton had three hits for WC. Colton Lecuyer had a single and a sacrifice fly.
