Micksburg evens semi-final series

The Micksburg Twins evened their best-of-three Greater Ottawa Fastball League playoff semi-final series with a 5-2 over the Vars Aces in Manotick on a frosty Tuesday night.

Joran Graham earned the win allowing five hits and walking two. Andy Barber took the loss and allowed five hits and five walks.

Vars got on the board in the second with an Andy Barber double, scoring on an error.

The Aces got a second run in the third on a Kristian Knapp infield single followed by an Andy Barber triple.

The Twins went up 3-2 in the fifth on a two RBI double by Matt McIntyre, who also scored on a wild pitch.

Micksburg added two more in the sixth with RBIs by Graham on a fielder's choice and a single by Matt McIntyre.

Andy Barber (3), Kristian Knapp and Nick Ellis had the hits for the Aces.

Micksburg hits were by Matt McIntyre (2), Jason McIntyre, Jared Steege and John Enright. 

The time and date for game three is to be determined.
