Team Easton downs Ottawa Blitz
Team Easton kept a perfect record, defeating the Ottawa Blitz 11-1 in Manotick on Wednesday night.
Dan Konkle threw his fourth consecutive win in GOFL play.
Shannon Borho started for the Blitz and took the loss, with Jamie Blakely and Derick Bulley seeing some action in relief.
The first six innings of the game were closer than the score would indicate. It was 3-1 after 5 innings and 5-1 after six innings, but Easton sent 11 men to the plate and scored 6 runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
