I personally hope that the Pontiac Royals and Micksburg Twins are left without a league to play because 2 teams aren't able to field teams. I personally wanted to add the Royals in the league as did the remaining Blitz to stretch out the schedule and teams.
It would be a shame to see the UOVMFL fold in the middle of the year and have 2 teams not able to play anywhere because the GOFL wouldn't accept them over travel.
It would be something where we could set up double headers or neutral site games to have the travel brought to a minimum.

Sorry, I meant to say "aren't" left without a league.

I think the Beachburg team will get things together and complete this season. As for Shawville their rep is working hard to get a pitcher we can only assume some one will step up. If we lost our # one pitcher to another team it would be hard for our team to replace him right away but every thing in time. Good Luck Shawville and Beachburg

Well... how about we just worry about the health of the league... good fastball is hard to find...
I'm sure Wright had just as much to do with leaving (and possibly even more so) Shawville than anybody else involved...
Just work out your problems to keep the league alive.. besides, I'm pretty sure that Wright isn't going to win the league for anybody so just get over and find someone that can throw so the league can stay alive....
someone please tell me why this has all become about mark wright? The upper Ottawa valley league has been in trouble since the end of last season and maybe those who are involved with the running of the league should concentrate on keeping it alive instead of singling out one individual who just wants to play ball
