GOFL standings still to be settled

With the "make up" games this week in the GOFL, finals standings will be determined to decide on seeding for the playoffs.

The only place decided is first - Team Easton has that sewn up.

However it is possible that all other placings could change depending on the final slate of games.

Carp and Ottawa have the most on the line, as they both have four games to make up and are in control of their own fate to determine their final rankings.

Carp plays a double header against the Blitz on Aug 1 and then a four point game vs. Team Easton on Thursday.

The Blitz also play Stittsville on Wednesday and also have another game against WC Electric (not scheduled yet).

Team Easton also has a game remaining against Lomor on Wednesday.

First round of playoffs are best of three: 4th vs. 5th and 3rd vs. 6th

Second round is best of five with Team Easton playing the lowest advancing seed and 2nd place playing the other advancing seed.

GOFL Finals are then best of five, with the winner receiving the $600 league playoff prize and then facing off against the UOVMFL playoff champ in the Regional Final.

Is the "GOLF" the French language acronym for our league?
