ISC II Qualifier rules

From Blair Setford

The top two teams in each tournament (Innerkip & Sydenham) will be awarded berths to the ToC. Additional invitations may be issued depending on berth availability in other regions.

Sydenham bracket available here: http://ghfl.ca/images/Sydenham_qualifier.pdf

Best of luck to everyone!

1. Rules will be governed by the current rule book of Softball Canada with the ISC Pitching Rule and the ISC bat standard.

2. The tournament format will be double elimination.

3. If a game cannot be completed on the same day due to weather or other factors, the game will continue form the point of the stoppage.

4. The mercy rule is a six-run differential after five or six innings.

5. Team lineup cards must be completed and returned to the game controller 30 minutes before the start of the game. Game balls will be released at that point.

6. A coin toss will determine the home team which will take the third-base bench, unless a team is already situated there.

7. In order to make the game more visually appealing, we ask that teams dress in contrasting coloured jerseys where possible. The home team shall have their choice of colour.

8. When the catcher is on base with two outs, he may be replaced by the second out of the current inning.

9. Only a protest on the interpretation of playing rules will be considered. A protest must be made at the time of the infraction - before the next pitch is delivered.

10. No infield practice will be allowed during the tournament.

11. The bracket board will be the official schedule.

12. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ONLY PERMITTED DURING THE DESIGNATED TIMES IN THE BEER GARDEN AREA. ANY "TAILGATING" WILL RESULT IN EXPULSION FROM THE TOURNAMENT.
