Team Easton pummels WC Electric 9-0

WC Electric's four game undefeated streak in GOFL play came to an abrupt halt last night, as Team Easton put a 9-0 beat down on the 'Trics in Fitzroy Harbour on Tuesday night, in a five inning game.

Things started poorly right away, as Dave Tubman hit the second pitch of the game from WC starter Bud Hanlon out for a solo HR over the centrefield fence. Easton scored a total of seven in the first, as Hanlon was relieved by Brad Porter. Pat O'Connor had a double, Chad Milne had a single and an RBI, Dan Konkle had a double and two RBIs, and Dave Tubman had a solo HR and a two RBI double, all in the first inning.

Easton added to their run total with a Randy Peck solo HR in the second, and Todd Fraser scored on a Chad Milne single in the fourth.

Troy Wilson came on to pitch the fifth for the home side. Easton was retired three up three down due to a nice 5-4-3 double play executed by WC Electric.
