Manotick defeats Team Easton - with stories
Manotick won over Team Easton last night in Stittsville by a score of 3-2. Trevor Lahey got the win and Dan Konkle took the loss.

After Manotick opened the scoring in the top of the 1st Chad Milne led off the bottom of the inning with a walk but was throw out at second on an attempted bunt by Scott Marion. The next batter Todd Fraser flied out to center then Randy Peck hit a rbi triple to the right field corner. Easton took the lead 2-1 in the bottom of the 2nd when John Peck singled was sacrificed to second by Lukas Kamps then was singled home by Pat O'connor. Manotick tied the game in the 4th then Easton went looking for more in the bottom half of the inning as Randy Peck walked Dan Konkle flew out to center and John Peck reached on error. A wild pitch advanced both runners but Trevor Lahey was able to get out of the jam by striking out the next two batters. Manotick added another run in the top of the 5th to take a 3-2 lead and would hold on for the victory.

Stittsville`s Grove park was the site of a well played game between Manotick and Easton Wednesday night. Trevor Lahey outduelled Dan Konkle and Mike Branchaud had 2 RBI singles to lead Manotick to a 3-2 victory.
The teams traded runs in the first with veterans Branchaud and Randy Peck exchanging RBI`s, the latter`s on a rare triple. Easton took their only lead in the bottom of the second on a Pat O`Connor RBI single but Manotick quickly replied with Branchaud driving in Steve Edgerton for the second time. Konkle pitched his way out of a none out, bases loaded jam in the fourth to keep the game tied but Manotick scored the eventual winning run in the fifth with Rich Antunes driving home Adam Bickell. Once again though, Konkle came up with two big strikeouts to leave runners at second and third to keep the game close. Lahey finished a solid outing, leaving the tying run at second base in the seventh.
