WC Electric beats the Blitz 7-0

The Ottawa Blitz travelled to Fitzroy Harbour on Tuesday night, losing to the hometown West Carleton Electric 7-0 in a mercy rule shortened game.

Brad Porter had the 5-inning shutout win for the 'Trics, throwing a one-hitter, while Derick Bulley threw for the Blitz.

The Electric scored a run in the first on a Michael Cavanagh two-out solo shot to left.

Fitzroy added three runs in the third. Jason Cope walked and was brought in by Trevor Barton's second homerun of the season. Jon Daley singled and scored later in the inning on a Shawn Rebertz RBI double.

WC Electric put three more runs across in the fourth. Adam Brown reached on an error. Trevor Barton then singled. Jon Daley reached on a fielder's choice, putting runners on the corners. Brown scored when the Michael Cavanagh's hard grounder to third was misplayed. Shawn Rebertz 2RBI single capped off the scoring for the evening.

Shawn Moher had the only hit for the Blitz in the second.
