Orleans Gators 18, Stittsville 56ers 17......WOW **
** as per Sam Oliver
35 runs, 6 pitchers, 6 home runs, and 2 hours and 50 minutes to play. The score in the GOFL game on Tuesday was (for real) Orleans 18 Stittsville 17.
It looked like a mercy in the bottom of five when Stittsville was down 15-8...but they came back.
Here are the basics on this one:
Winning Pitcher: Chad Hargrove who came in relief in the sixth. Nick Bowman had the start and Phil Drew also saw some work on the slab for the Gators.
Losing Pitcher: John Craig in his first appearance throwing in the GOFL in two years. Darren Featherstone had the start and Ben Gigliotti (newly acquired by the 56ers) also saw some middle relief.
Home runs were hit by Chad Hargrove and Matt Bowman for the Gators and by Scott Parsons, Sam Oliver, Scott Jessiman and Darren Featherstone for the 56ers.
