Exhibition games will decide Nova Scotia roster for 2009 Canada Games

There will be two special fastball games set up with the Kanata Pirates Midget Team and the Nova Scotia Canada Games team on Wednesday July 23 in Arnprior at the ABBA ball diamonds. The games will be at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The team from Nova Scotia is doing a week long trip into Ontario and will be playing some games down in southern Ontario first before heading home.

On their way home they will be stopping in Ottawa to play two games against the Kanata Pirate midget team.

The Nova Scotia team is coached by the head coach of the Canada’s men’s senior team, Mark Smith. He also is a past player for Team Canada as well.

The team is bringing 20 players and will be doing these exhibition games in Ontario to cut their roster down to 15 players that will make up team Nova Scotia for the 2009 Canada Games in PEI.
