Local Heroes Kanata co-winners of Elk Lake tourney

Local Heroes Kanata successfully defended their title at the annual Elk Lake fastball tournament... sort of. Rain halted the tournament on Monday afternoon and the two finalists were declared co-winners. Local Heroes went 3-0 in the round-robin and then won their semi-final against the Welsh Juniors. The 'Friends of Elk Lake' team, with Rob Schweyer pitching, won their pool and then defeated the Windsor Reds in the other semi-final.
Local's catcher Tim Power and centre-fielder Aaron Amo were named to the Combat all-tournament team.
