Random fastball info

- Gosh, it's been hot for ball. But as a left fielder, I guess I should shut up as our catcher wrings out a litre of sweat from his t-shirt and our pitcher nearly collapses from heat stroke.

- Good luck to the teams at tourneys this weekend. Kars is in Peterborough. Carp, Barrhaven and the Blitz are in AuSable Forks. (Unfortunately Quyon had to withdraw from the event). Several local young lads are at the OASA Junior Elims in Cobourg. BONUS: Fitzroy Fastball will also have an update on the Lackawanna, NY tournament this weekend.

- Gotta love the Fitzroy Town League. Last night good ol' Fitzroy Fastball had 6 at bats in a single game against a pitcher who is 62 years old. As well, our centrefielder took to the field on defense and lasted two pitches still wearing his batting helmet from his previous at bat. 34 degree heat and he didn't notice he was still wearing his bucket and wondering why every other person at the diamond, including the ump, was stifiling a chuckle. Good times.
