Senior Canadians get started
Looks like a tough start to the Senior Men's Canadians for Team Quebec as they lost their first two games.
First one was a 12-0 defeat to Fredericton in which the New Brunswickers scored 10 in the first inning. According to the stats page, Francis Leclair took the loss and Brian Newton had a perfect game in 5 innings for NB.
Things were a little closer in the game 2 as they lost to St John's, NL 8-4. Leclair again took the loss while Sean Whitten had the win. Quyon Flyers' Shawn Laframboise had two hits, two RBIs and scored a run for Team QC.
According to the Charlottetown Guardian, the host PEI team won their first game in front of 1800 fans, but had a tough loss in Frank Cox's start against Kitchener.
